Adam Dickson is noted as an ensign in Swedish service from 1629, and he served first in Donald Mackay's [SSNE 93] regiment, then in Patrick Ruthven's [SSNE 3413]. He is possibly the same as lieutenant captain Adam Dickson [SSNE 567] of Danish-Norwegian service, as many of those serving in King Christian IV's army until the peace of Lubeck in 1628 subsequently entered Swedish serviceSwedish Krigsarkiv, Muster Roll, 1629/14,16,18.
