Alexander Forbes was born in 1670. He joined the Upplands regiment as an NCO in 1691. He worked his way through the ranks and became an ensign by April 1700. In September 1701 he became a lieutenant before embarking on ajourney abroad. In 1702 he returned to Sweden with General Stuart's permission. He remained in service and by October 1709 had attained the rank of major. He died in February 1710 in the conflict for HÀlsingborg.
