Adolf Jacob Fleetwood was born 22 January 1647, probably a son of George Fleetwood [SSNE 2208]. Adolf served first as an ensign with the Dalar regiment, then as a master of horse with the Smaland cavalry regiment. He progressed to become both a lietuenant-colonel and a fortress commandant for the Swedish army at Marstrand from 1674-75. He was also a commandant at Bohus in 1678. Adolf Jacob maried Christina Maria Sioblad in 1680
