CUNNINGHAM, GEORGE [SSNE 2119]
Text source
George Cunningham was an ensign in James Seaton's [SSNE 3476] and George Cunningham's [SSNE 2118] regiments. He later became a reformed captain in the same regiment when it was led by Robert Cunningham [SSNE 2132], on George's death. In 1633/1634 he served as captain of dragoons and commander of Eichsfeld (Lower Saxonia) under the command of William IV of Saxe-Weimar. It must have been this man who became a colonel and was still in service in 1637 with a regiment in Prussia.
