Thomas Beaton was a Scottish officer in the Danish-Norwegian army. He served as a captain in Lord Spynie's [SSNE 177] regiment. He also recruited soldiers for Danish service, whom Harry Ramsay of Ardowny retained for Swedish service. The Privy council of Scotland decided in Beaton's favour 20/12/1627 and the troops went to Denmark.
