Anders Stuart 'the younger' was a son of John 'Hans' Stuart [SSNE 1645] and his wife Brita Eriksdotter. His brother was David Stuart [SSNE 7696] and his sisters were Marta [SSNE 6433] and Anna [SSNE 6432]. He was also a nephew of Anders Stuart 'the older' [SSNE 1646]. Anders was born at his father's estate, Hedenlunda, in Vadsbro parish on 19 June 1589. He was a page for Queen Kristina the elder and was ennobled and introduced into the House of Nobility in 1652 under nr. 86, along with his younger brother David. Anders was present at the funeral procession of Gustav II Adolf. He appears to have been a godly man, donating half of his 'fraelsehemman' in Hagetorp to Vadsbro church in January 1648. He later, in 1667, arranged for a yearly donation of 5 barrels' of corn/grain to go to the parish poor. Anders died at the family estate of Hedenlunda on 19 May 1679. He married Margareta Hansdotter Heideman, sister of major Pancras Heideman, in 1652 in her second marriage. However, there was controversy over this relationship as he had already initiated it in 1627 when she was married to David Reiff, and she had given birth to their children. The estate of the Nobility made a representation to Queen Kristina at the Riksdag in 1652 regarding this situation, complaining that Anders' behaviour was not worthy of a nobleman. Anders himself requested legitimation for his children born out of wedlock and received this from Queen Kristina in February 1652. Anders' son Johan Anders also was a gentleman of the royal chamber, in the service of King Karl X. He had a daughter called Brita [SSNE 1647]
