Edward Viscount Conway was a diplomat who undertook various missions to the Continent in 1620. When James Spens [SSNE 1642], who was in London on official business on behalf of the Swedish Crown in sprin 1626, undertook private negotiations with Conway, Chancellor Axel Oxenstierna advised him not to continue with them
