Comment:: At line 672 there is an instance where the OE agrees, unexpectedly, with a reading in the 'mixed' Lipomanus version of the Vita, against the texts in the Cotton Corpus Legendary, Cotton Claudius and other witnesses: 'forneah' translates 'paene' (Lipomanus 1553, f.389v), which does not appear in the other versions of the Latin but can be shown to derive from the Greek original.
