  • Note: This notebook belonging to the poet Douglas Dunn contains drafts of poems which appear in his collections St Kilda's Parliament (1981) and Elegies (1985). They include 'E.A. Walton Thinks of Painting The Daydream,' 'Monumental Sculptor,' 'War Blinded' ('Men Going Home'), ‘Attics,’ ‘Empty Wardrobes,’ and ‘Reincarnations.’  The notebook also contains prose notes on Hugh MacDiarmid, lists of poems and the magazines, newspapers and journals to which they were sent, as well as lists of works in progress. Some pages in the notebook have been torn out. The notebook is (c) Douglas Dunn and digitised with his permission. Images may not be reproduced without permission.
