  • Note: We are fortunate to have this journal of the honeymoon tour through Scotland made by Corbet S. Catty and his new wife Caroline (nee Gray) in June 1856.  The journey was made by rail and public conveyance through Perthshire, Stirlingshire and Argyllshire, and ends at the approach locks to the Crinan Canal.  The volume contains line drawings by the author, engravings of many tourist attractions, and several pasted-in botanical specimens.  A railway map of Scotland is pasted inside the front cover. A marriage is recorded on 4 June 1856 at St Giles' Church, Edinburgh, between Corbet Stacey Catty and Caroline Gray.
