The Journalism of Ramόn Gόmez de la Serna

This website facilitates access to digital copies of journal articles written by Spanish avant-garde writer Ramón Gómez de la Serna since 1905. Pulling together into one organized space the vast numbers of pieces he wrote for newspapers and magazines in Spain, Portugal, France, Italy, Colombia, Argentina, Venezuela, Chile and beyond, it will complement the 20 print volumes of his Complete Works  (Galaxia Gutenberg, 1996 – 2013), and will allow readers to reconstruct the constant dialogue which exists between his books and his prolific journalistic output.

With the assistance of the Biblioteca Nacional de España, the Hemeroteca Municipal de Madrid, the Bibliothèque nationale de France, the Biblioteca Virtual de Prensa Histórica, and the Hemeroteca ABC, to whose digital collections links are made, the portal will provide comprehensive and coherent listings of the widely dispersed journal articles by “RAMÓN,” along with expert commentaries by scholars and specialists in his life and works.  It will offer a much needed forum in which the Gómez de la Serna corpus can be discussed and our understanding of this remarkable writer improved.
