Born 27.4.1738 son of Andrew Wauchope, Liberton and Helen Hulme.

Career

Burgess, St Andrews as younger of Niddrie 3.6.1755.

Captain 1st Dragoon Guards. Served at Minden. [Soldier]

Succeeded to Niddrie in 1784. Handed over to his son 1811, but apparently still alive in 1822 for King’s visit when he is alluded to in a Walter Scott poem. [Landowner]

Death
