Born 14.8.1782 at Bathgate son of James Wardrop, Tarbone Hill, Linlithgowshire and Christian Marjoribanks.

Career

Apprenticed to his uncle, Dr. Andrew Wardrop, Edinburgh.

Studied Edinburgh, Guy’s and St Thomas’s hospitals [Guy's hospital, St Thomas’s hospital], London and Paris and Germany.

L.R.C.S.E. 1804. F.R.C.S.Eng. 1844.

Practised in Edinburgh. Surgeon to George IV. [Doctor]
