Born 14.6.1754 at Berne [Bern, Switzerland] 2nd son of Arthur Villettes, British diplomat.

Career

Lived with Professor Watson at St Andrews.

Entered Lincoln’s Inn to study law, but gave it up for the military life. Cornet 1775. Major General 1798. Lieutenant General 1805. Governor of Malta 1801-1807. Governor of Jamaica 1807-1808. [Soldier]

Death

Died 13.7.1808.
