Born 3.11.1798 eldest son of William Stevenson, farmer, Campsie and Marjorie Ferrie.
Career
Studied at Glasgow University - M.A. 1816.
Licensed by Glasgow presbytery 1818.
Missionary Bombay [Mumbai], Hurnee, Poona etc 1823-1854. Minister Ladykirk 1855 - 11.8.1858 (died).
Sanskrit scholar. A founder and first editor of Bombay Gazette.

Died 11.8.1858.
