Born c. 1733 (Perhaps baptised at Bellingham 10.12.1733) eldest son of Walter Scott of Todderick and Stokoe and Jane Robson.

Apprenticed 1747-1751 then 4 years in a surgeon’s shop in Selkirk 1751-1755. [Surgeon]

Studied Edinburgh 1755-1758.

Practised Stamfordham from 1758. [Doctor]

Died at Stamfordham 10.11.1802 aged 69.
