Degree refused 1.5.1761 on ground that Edinburgh University, who requested degree could confer it themselves - apparently they did not and John Richmond has not been traced. He had been a preacher, but not finding sufficient encouragement betook himself to physic. Hopes to settle in England as a clergyman and physician.
