Born 1.11.1834 son of John Richmond, Southdean, Roxburghshire and Catherine Mitchell.

Sailed for Australia 17.12.1851 and became a leading sheep breeder in New South Wales. Owning several stations and founding one of the most famous stock flocks there. [Landowner]

Died Kincairney, Perthshire 6.8.1923.
