Possibly the man who matriculated as a student from St Leonards College in session 1746-1747. He was a Ramsay bursar and son to David Ramsay at Gorthie. He absconded to England after being involved in a body snatching case in St Andrews and a paternity case in Fowlis Wester. In 1750 he was reported to have gone to settle in the West Indies.
