Birth/childhood

From Borgue. Possibly baptised 22.12.1835 son of Hugh Montgomerie Purdie, Hoynholm and Jane Lidderdale.

Career

Teacher Stirling. Classical master (3rd), Glasgow High School until at least 1876.
