Born January 1785 only son of Sir John Murray, who resumed original family name of McGregor, and Anne Macleod.

Also at Edinburgh University - arts student 1800-1801.

Captain 15th Dragoons afterwards Major General. [Soldier]

Succeeded father as 2nd Baronet in 1822.

Governor of the Windward Islands.

Death

Died Barbados 14.6.1841 aged 56.
