Studied Edinburgh University - medical student 1774-1776. Also studied 3 years Glasgow University and one year London.

Hospital Mate in Army Medical Service before commission. Surgeon 3rd Foot Regiment 1781. Retired as Ensign on half pay 102nd Foot 1787.

Practised Glasgow. [Doctor]

Death

Died in Glasgow 1.8.1809.
