M.D. 12.5.1784. (No record of testimonials, but a copy of his Observations on dysentery, 1780 is preserved in the Archives, possibly accepted as a thesis).

Studied at Leyden University - M.D. 1791. L.R.C.P.L. 1787.

Went to Jamaica and became surgeon there. Practised London from 1785. Physician Chelsea Hospital from 1788. [Doctor]

Publications. Violent opponent of vaccination.
