Born c. 1823 son of James Mill, supervisor, inland revenue and Elizabeth Strange. Variously said to be from Dysart and St Andrews.

Career

A schoolmaster before coming to St Andrews. [Teacher]

Minister U.P. Church, Kirkgate, Leith [United Presbyterian Church, Kirkgate, Leith] 1855 - 1903 (resigned).
