U.P. minister [United Presbyterian minister] Mainsriddell 1846-1849. Drymen 1850-1854. Joined Free Church in 1856.

Minister Port Adelaide 1855-1861 (resigned). Went to Victoria. Held charges at Taradale 1 year, Richmond 2 years, Echuca & Deniliquin 6 years. General Secretary of Church and interim Professor of Sacred Languages, Ormond College 1865-1883. Moderator General Assembly of Victoria 1882-1884.

Death

Died at Mentone, Victoria [Australia] 2.9.1902.
