Born c. 1813 son of James Marr and Mary Bathgate.

Attended school in Leith.

Career

Studied Edinburgh University - medical student 1832-1833 when he was from Yorkshire.

F.R.C.P.E. 6.2.1838.

Lectured on midwifery for some years. Retired from medicine and devoted himself to typefounding. [Doctor]

Death

Died 14.4.1866 aged 53.
