Birth/childhood

Born 27.12.1858 son of John M’Reath, farmer, Largo then Leven and Alison Greig.

Career

Published a poem, ‘A song of life’ in the local press, 1874.

Became lunatic and committed to Royal Asylum, Edinburgh in 1879. Thereafter in various other institutions.

Death

Died at Springfield 23.7.1895 aged 35.
