M.D. 8.1.1798 on testimonials signed by John Fish Palmer M.D., Peterborough and James Higgins M.D., Physician to the French prisoners of war, now resident at Peterborough.

Career

Of Huntingdon. Apprenticed for 5 years to his brother now of Southampton. Studied Edinburgh University - medical student 1785-1786. Then for 11 years in partnership with another brother. There are references to a Dr. Arthur Mackie of Lewisham and a Dr. Arthur Mackie, Deputy Postmaster General, Barbados died 6.10.1811 aged 52. [Doctor]
