Professor of Physics, Texas University 1885-1894 (retired). LL.D. Austin. Later settled in Canada on a farm bequeathed to him by an uncle, but continued working and publishing on mathematics. Chairman of Board of Education, Chatham, Ontario. [University professor, farmer]
