Surgeon H.E.I.C.S. [Honourable East India Company's Service] then in Army - 42nd Regiment (Black Watch) of which he became Lieutenant Colonel. K.C.B. [Knight Commander of the Most Honourable Order of the Bath]. [Soldier, doctor]
Death
Died at Quatre Bras [France] 16.6.1815 [the Battle of Quatre Bras].
