Born 14.12.1858 at Conwil Elvet, Carmarthenshire, brother of Howell Elvet Lewis, Congregational minister.

Career

Studied at U.C.N.W. [University College of North Wales] - M.A. London and Marburg University.

Also at Lancashire Independent College 1889-1892.

Tutor in Hebrew Lancashire College 1894-1898. Hebrew and Old Testament, Memorial College, Brecon 1898-1907. Principal there 1907-1943 (retired). [Teacher]
