Born 1727 as George Milligen.

Career

Surgeon’s Mate Army Medical Service 1745. Practised Charlestown, South Carolina 1749-1775. Retired to Britain, perhaps to Bristol, whence he signed an M.D. testimonial in 1790. He added Johnston to his name about the time he retired. [Doctor]

Death

Died Dumfries 9.3.1799 when he was of Corehead.
