Career

Studied Oxford University - Matriculated 1755.

Ordained 1757 curate Mary Magdalen, Oxford. Rector, Aldwinkle 1764-11.2.1820 (died at Bath). LL.B. Cambridge 1772. [Minister]

Voluminous writer. Father of the Missionary Society and the mission to the islands of the Pacific Ocean originated with him.
