Educated at Glasgow University. Also at Secession theological hall 1800-1805.
Licensed by Kilmarnock Secession presbytery.
Secession minister Annan 1807-1817. Thereafter missionary to Russia and Persia [now Iran]. [Minister]
Publications. Translated and published Bible in Persian.
Journal of a tour from Astrachan to Karass... (Edinburgh: Printed for David Brown, 1823)
Death
Died in Persia [now Iran] 12.1.1849 aged 70.
