Articled Manchester Ship Canal Company 1895-1898, then with various companies; 1900-1909 with Manchester Ship Canal company; 1909-1912 in private practice and with Port of London Authority; 1912-1913 assistant to W. H. Hunter, consulting engineer; 1914-1919 chief engineer, Marine Board of Launceston, Tasmania; 1919-1930 chief engineer, Messrs B. Morton & Sons, public works contractors, Manchester; 1931-1941 Superintending engineer Cheshire County Council. [Engineer]

Died April, 1941.
