Born 19.6.1773 son of James Ferguson, Ayr and Margaret Hutchison.

Career

Served apprenticeship to James Russell, surgeon, Edinburgh.

Studied Edinburgh and London.

L.R.C.P.E. 5.5.1812. F.R.C.P.E. 4.8.1812.

Surgeon 90th Foot 1794 etc. Inspector General of Hospitals for British Forces in Portugal 1813. Retired on half pay 1817. Practised at Windsor and Surgeon to H.R.H. the Duke of Gloucester. [Doctor]

Death

Died 2.1.1847.
