Born 26.5.1790 son of James Clow, farmer, Charterhall near Stirling and Helen Gray.
Career
Also at Edinburgh University - divinity student 1810-1812.
Licensed by Kirkcaldy presbytery 1813.
Indian chaplain 1815 - 1833 (retired). [Minister]
Arrived in Australia 1837 and became pioneer of Presbyterianism in New South Wales, working as an evangelist in Melbourne. Although he never held a charge he was first Moderator of the General Assembly of the Presbyterian Church of Victoria.
Death
Died Melbourne [Australia] 15.3.1861.
