Born 16.11.1827 son of Sir James Carnegie Bt. [baronet] of Kinnaird and Charlotte Lysons.

Career

Succeeded his father 1849. Became 9th Earl of Southesk in 1855 by getting attainder repealed.

Antiquarian, poet and traveller.
