Apprentice 1786 to Richard Thompson, surgeon apothecary, Rochester. [Surgeon apothecary]

Studied Edinburgh University - medical student 1821-1823.

F.R.C.P.L. 1839. [Doctor]

Withdrew from general practice in 1816 and devoted himself to the treatment of insanity.
