Born 5.1.1736 son of Robert Brydone, minister at Coldingham and Elizabeth Dysert.

Career

F.R.S. Published a tour through Sicily and Malta. Also visited Russia and left an unpublished diary. Father-in-law of the Earl of Minto, Adam of Blairadam and a Dean of Bristol.

F.R.S.E. 1783. Papers at Blair Adam.

Death

Died 19.6.1818 at Lennel House.
