Born 20.7.1766 3rd son of Charles Bruce, 9th Earl of Kincardine and Martha White.
Career
Succeeded his brother, William Robert as 7th Earl of Elgin in 1771. Entered Foot Guards in 1785. Was in diplomatic service. Brought Elgin marbles to Britain.
Death
Died at Paris [France] 14.11.1841.
