From Lewes, Sussex at graduation and late H.M. Regt. 3rd Foot, but not in W. Johnston, Roll of Commissioned Officers in the Medical Service of the British Army 1727-1898 (Aberdeen, 1917).

Studied University College hospital.

M.R.C.S.Eng. 5.6.1845 when he was from Petersfield, Hants. [Hampshire]. L.S.A. 1857.

Served in Crimean War and ran a hospital at Scutari [Üsküdar, Turkey]. Practised in Northampton. [Soldier, doctor]

Death

Died at Bembridge, Isle of Wight 23.6.1892 aged 70
