Born 1824 3rd son of John Barnett, farmer, Resolis, though said to be from Iona while a student at St Andrews.

Minister at Shieldaig 1857 - 1861. Kilbrandon 1861 - 1876. Gaelic parish, Greenock 1876 - 1878. Lochalsh 1878 - 1885. Kilchoman 1885 - 5.2.1895 (died).

Death
