Birth/childhood

Grandson of Mr. Bacon of Norwich, editor of Norwich Mercury.

Career

Studied Guy’s hospital.

M.R.C.S.Eng. 1858, when he was from Lewes. L.S.A. 1858.

Deputy medical superintendent, Cambridge County Asylum, Fulbourn 1864 - 1866, then travelled a year; returned to Fulbourn as Medical Superintendent, in which capacity he remained until his death [1867-22.2.1883]. Lectured Cambridge University medical school. Hon. M.A. Cambridge, 1877. [Doctor, university lecturer]
