Born c. 1815 son of Jacob Ashenheim, jeweller, Edinburgh and Malky Aaron.

Career

Studied Edinburgh University - medical student 1834-1837. L.R.C.S.E. 1840.

Said to be the first Jew to qualify in medicine in Scotland.

Practised Kingston, Jamaica, where he had descendants. [Doctor]

Death

Alive until at least 1853.
