Perhaps born 30.11.1776 son of Hugo Pollock Arnot of Balcormo and Margaret Bennet.

Career

Said to have been engaged in a duel - fled to the continent and died abroad, unmarried.

Perhaps also the John Arnot, who travelled to St Petersburg in the early nineteenth century and may have supplied material for W. Godwin’s novel Cloudesley (1830).
