Born 26.4.1821 son of Alexander Adamson, farmer, Burnside, St Andrews and Rachel Melville.
Brother of Dr John Adamson, Archibald Adamson, and of Alexander Adamson.
Career
Apprenticed to a mill wright. Then calotypist in Edinburgh in partnership with David Octavius Hill 1843 - 1847. Gave up through ill health. [Apprentice, mill wright. photographer]
