Description: This enamelwork depiction of Christ is created using the champlevé technique. On either side of Christ you will see the letters ‘A’ and ‘W”, these refer to God’s proclamation in the Apocalypse (Book of Revelation): “I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end.” We are not sure what the plaque originally adorned, but it may have been attached to a processional cross or the cover of a book.
